Dominik Žganec is a contributor to European Western Balkans. He graduated political science at the University of Zagreb in 2010. In 2013 he successfully obtained Master degree in European politics at Masaryk University in Brno in Czech Republic. From the beginning of his studies he is activelly engaged in a work of several civil society organizations. From January 2014 he acts as a secretary general of the Croatian United Nations Association. His major interests are including EU-related topics, mainly in the domain of the foreign affairs, with the special focus on the developments in countries of Western Balkans. Currently he works as a policy advisor in the European Parliament.

Jana Mišić is finishing her BA of International studies at the Faculty of political science, University of Belgrade, Serbia. She has spent a semester abroad studying at Ghent University, Belgium and has also lived in the USA and Italy. Jana has completed two internships with think-tanks working in the field of security and international affairs, as well as participated in numerous trainings and conferences. Currently, her interests include concepts of governance of security, gender issues and public policy. She speaks several languages, loves the outdoors and travels back and forth between Belgrade and Amsterdam.

Marko Markovski is the founder and contributor to European Western Balkans. He is currently finishing his MA in European Politics at the Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. Marko has earned a BA in Political Science from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University- Skopje. After earning his BA, Marko had worked in the civil society in Macedonia on various national and international projects, including European Union and United Nations funded projects. He attended several international conferences organized by the UN. Marko is a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Alumni and an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. The fields of his interest are foreign and security policy, democratization, integration and development.

Denis Piplaš holds a MA degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe and a BA in Political Science from the University of Sarajevo. Most recently Denis had been a trainee in the Cabinet of President Schulz in the European Parliament working on (among other) issues of enlargement policy and Western Balkans. Previously he had been an intern in the United Nations Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague and in the European Parliament (in the office of MEP Doris Pack). During his time in Sarajevo he worked in Transparency International BiH, as well as with a variety of other local, national and international NGOs.

Marko Čeperković is an MA candidate at the College of Europe. Previously, he worked as Policy Advisor at the U.S. House of Representatives Marko where he dealt with Foreign Affairs, Defense, Immigration and Human Rights issues. At the same time he was a fellow at Johns Hopkins SAIS, participating in the Aitchison Public Service Fellowship in Government. He holds a BA from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (SciencesPo.). As former Executive Director’s Assistant at Helsinki Committee for Human Rights he led Human Rights Schools for Western Balkans, while at the same time presiding over the Commission for Youth Rights in Serbia.

Dina Rokić is studying towards a BA in International Relations at the American College of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is Social Media Coordinator for Bringing Europeans Together e.V. Dina has interned at the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe in Thessaloniki and is an avid enthusiast of Model EU and Model UN Conferences. This spring she was editor of the press team in MEU Strasbourg and will be part of the press team in MUN Oxford this November. Having grown up in Kuwait, her interests span from European politics, national identity and war time media to issues related to the Middle East. Dina also speaks five languages and loves travelling.

Fitore Bajraktari is a contributor to European Western Balkans. She graduated at Law Faculty in University of Prishtina/Kosovo in 2013 and in 2015 she obtained a master degree in European Union Studies at Salzburg University/Austria. She is a former journalist at Radio Television of Kosovo. Her major interests are EU-related topics such as human rights, judicial system, and freedom of the press. Doris Manu is the Brussels correspondent of European Western Balkans. Recently graduated from the College of Europe – Bruges. She holds a Master’s Degree in South-Eastern European Studies from the University of Belgrade and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Bucharest. She has completed several traineeships in Romani, Croatia, Kosovo, and Serbia. She now lives in Brussels. Doris is fluent in Romanian, English, French, Spanish and Serbo-Croatian.
